លោក សេក បរិសុទ្ធ កើតនៅថ្ងៃទី២១ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៦៦ នៅទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។ លោកបានទទួលមរណភាពដោយគ្រោះថ្នាក់ចរាចរ នាថ្ងៃទី១៦ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ២០១៦ ក្នុងបេសសកម្មដើម្បីបុព្វហេតុជួយកុមារនៅក្រៅសាលា ជាពិសេសកុមារជនជាតិដើមភាគតិចឱ្យបានចូលរៀន។ លោក សេក បរិសុទ្ធ រៀននៅវិទ្យាល័យនេតយ៉ង (ខេត្តបាត់ដំបង) ក្នុងជំនាន់ប៉ុលពត លោកធ្វើជាកងចល័តពិសេសតំបន់៤ (សាលាក្រៅ ស្រុកសង្កែ ខេត្តបាត់ដំបង)។
លោកបានរៀបការជាមួយ លោកស្រី កើត សុគន្ធ ដោយទទួលបានចំណងដៃកូន ២នាក់។
លោក សេក បរិសុទ្ធ មានបទពិសោធន៍ធ្វើការជាមួយនឹងស្ថាប័នជាច្រើនគ្រប់ខេត្តក្រុងនារយៈពេល៣០ឆ្នាំចុងក្រោយនេះ។
លោកបានបម្រើការចុងក្រោយឲ្យអង្គការ Aide et Action ក្នុងតួនាទីជានាយកផ្នែកទំនាក់ទំនង ភាពជាដៃគូ និងផ្សព្វផ្សាយនៃកម្មវិធីភាពជាដៃគូផ្តល់អប់រំដល់កុមារ ដែលបាត់បង់ឱកាសនៅកម្ពុជា ក្នុងគោលបំណងផ្តល់ការអប់រំដល់កុមារដែលបាត់បង់ឱកាសនៅកម្ពុជា ប្រហែលជាង៥៧០០នាក់។
លោកបានប្រើប្រាស់ជំនាញរបស់គាត់នៅក្នុងការអភិវឌ្ឍសង្គមរួមមាន យុត្តិធម៌សង្គម និងការងារអភិវឌ្ឍន៏ជាមួយអង្គការស្ថាប័នជាច្រើនដូចជាស្ថាប័ន រដ្ឋាភិបាល អង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិ សារព័ត៌មាន អង្គការជាតិ និងអន្តរជាតិ នាយកផ្នែកទំនាក់ទំនង និងទីផ្សារនៃសាកលវិទ្យាល័យអាមេរិចកាំងនៅទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ ជាទីប្រឹក្សានៃវិទ្យាស្ថានតស៊ូមតិ និងគោលនយោបាយ និងអង្គការ Pact នាយកកម្មវិធីសារព័ត៌មាន កម្មវិធីប្រឆាំងអំពើពុករលួយ ប្រធាននាយកដ្ឋានសារព័ត៌មាន នាយកវិទ្យាស្ថានទំនាក់ទំនងកម្ពុជា និងជាបុគ្គលិកបម្រើការឲ្យអង្គការព័ត៌មានរដ្ឋាភិបាល និងអង្គការ UNESCO លើគម្រោងបណ្តុះបណ្តាលសារព័ត៌មាន។

លោក សេក បរិសុទ្ធ បានចូលរួមយ៉ាងសកម្មក្នុងការកែសម្រួលអត្ថបទសារព័ត៌មានជាច្រើនសម្រាប់អង្គការ សង្គមស៊ីវិល។ បន្ថែមពីនេះ លោកបានដើរតួនាទីយ៉ាងសំខាន់ ក្នុងការបណ្តុះបណ្តាល និងណែនាំដល់អ្នកសារព័ត៌មានវ័យក្មេង នៅក្នុងការវិភាគ និងសរសេរព័ត៌មាន។ គាត់ក៏មានតួនាទីជាអ្នកនាំពាក្យរបស់បណ្តាញអង្គការសង្គមស៊ីវិល ក្នុងការប្រយុទ្ធប្រឆាំងនឹងអំពើពុករលួយ ដោយធ្វើការដោយផ្ទាល់ជាមួយនឹងសារព័ត៌មានសម្រាប់អភិបាលកិច្ចល្អ សេរីភាពនៃការទទួលព័ត៌មាន និងបញ្ហាទាក់ទងនឹងអំពើពុករលួយ ។

លោក សេក បរិសុទ្ធក៏ជាសមាជិកម្នាក់ក្នុងគណៈកម្មការវាយតម្លៃក្នុងការប្រលងប្រជែង នានារបស់អ្នកកាសែត។ ក្នុងឆាកជីវិតរបស់លោក សេក បរិសុទ្ធ ក៏ជាគ្រូបង្រៀនម្នាក់នៅដេប៉ាតឺម៉ង ទំនាក់ទំនង និងប្រព័ន្ធផ្សព្វផ្សាយនៅ សាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ។ ក្នុងនាមជាគ្រូឧទេ្ទសក្នុងលោកតែងតែ ចូលរួមវគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលខ្លីៗសម្រាប់អ្នកសារព័ត៌មាន។ លោកទទួលបានការសិក្សារៀនសូត្រទាំងក្នុង និងក្រៅប្រទេសរួមមានអាមេរិក និងដាណឺមាក។
Sek Barisoth’s Biography
He was born on 21 September 1966 and lived in Phnom Penh. Mr. Sek Barisoth had fatal road accident on the mission for out of school children at the age of 50 on 16 October 2016. He studied at Net Yong High School. In Pol Pot regime, he served as mobile solider in Special Region 4.
He married Ms. Ket Sokun with 2 children.
Mr. Barisoth had profound experiences in working for different organizations for the last 30 years. His last career was with Aide et Action where he held the position of Director of Communications, Partnership and Resource Mobilization in 2015. His main roles and responsibilities were to ensure the professional visibility and communication of Aidet et Action’s Cambodian Consortium for Out of School Children (CCOSC) in order to provide education for around 57,000 out of school children. He contributed his expertise to the society development pertaining to social works, social justice and development with a variety of non-governmental organizations and agencies, including the government, the UN, the media, local and international NGOs, Director of Communications, PR and Marketing for American University of Phnom Penh, a consultant for Advocacy and Policy Institute (API), a Technical Adviser for Pact, Director of the Media Program and Director of the Anti-Corruption Program,, Head of the Media Unit of a local, Director of the Cambodia Communication Institute (CCI), and staff of the Government News Agency and UNESCO on the media training project.
Mr. Barisoth had countless experience and competencies in media system, specifically relevant advocating for anti-corruption reforms, designing and training programs for journalists and media practitioners, producing a number of training manuals and materials, setting up a wide communication network of CSOs, media, donors and government.
He actively involved in reviewing and editing countless publications of newsletters support by different NGOs. In addition, he played a crucial role in capacity building, mentoring, and coaching news practitioners, journalists on investigative reporting. He was a spokesperson for the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations against Corruption dealing directly with the media on good governance, Freedom of Information, and corruption-related issues.
With his involvement with the media of lengthy professional media records and reputation, he was on the steering seat of a number of media professional groups namely: Chairman of the newly formed Council of Journalists for Code of Ethic (CJCE); Advisor to Press Council of Cambodia, a Board member of the Women Media Centre; Vice Chairman of the Board of a media-health organization of CHEMS; a Board member of a media training centre of the Cambodian Institute for Media Study; and Adviser to an environmental journalist association of Cambodia’s Media Forum on Environment. He was also the one of the judging committees of a number of journalism competitions.
Until his death, he was also a lecturer at the Department of Media and Communication (DMC) of the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). He was always engaged potentially in either formal education or professional training. He acquired knowledge and competencies in Cambodia and abroad, including the USA and Denmark.
